Four years living in the South End makes this tab an insider's guide to the best food in the area
Dinner - Moderate to Expensive
Tremont 647 on Tremont
-
they have an awesome bar that opens up to tables that are on their patio/sidewalk and really good food. Fun drinks too. And you can bring your dog ;)
Giacomo’s on Columbus
-
best Italian in boston—seriously. They only take cash and its pretty date-y but delicious. They do take out too….
Petit Robert on Columbus
-
FRENCH. Like super French. Everyone who works there is French and they serve frog legs and other really French things. But awesome to sit outside (with a dog) and have a glass of wine and French it up with your beret.
Orinoco on Shawmut
-
Awesome venezuelan food. Tiny place in a residential neighborhood. They have like 2-3 tables outside and yummy breakfast too. They do take out too but no delivery.
Stella’s on Washington
-
Also awesome fries here. Fun outdoor seating and good food. There’s a small bar that’s fun to grab a drink too and they have a tv over the bar to watch sports, etc.
Charlie’s on Columbus
-
not open Sundays and they only take cash but best diner/breakfast in Boston hands down. There’s a huuuuge line on Saturdays if you get there after 9 or 10 but it moves fast.
Flour (Washington St and Rutland)
-
best bakery ever. STICKY BUNS!! Its their specialty….but they sell out within an hour or two of them opening
South End Buttery (Shawmut)
-
They have this ridiculously awesome breakfast biscuit thing and good lunch. Good lattes too. Tables outside and good for people watching/local watching. They just opened a new area that has a bar but I’ve never been so don’t know what the scene is like.
